Raffaldini Vineyards, Ronda, North Carolina
Raffaldini Vineyards is one of the unique
vineyards in the Yadkin Valley. Located in Ronda, North Carolina, the
vineyard has a history of the Raffaldini Family in the Northern Province of
Lombardy, Italy. They own and continues to live on the farm where the great
classical poet philosopher Virgil spent his youth. However, a decision was
made by the Raffaldini Family to share their centuries old wine making
experience with the new world. After a long and exhaustive search for the
ideal location for a vineyard that reflects the family heritage and holds
the promise for making truly classical wines, the Raffaldini Family settled
in the Swan Creek region of the Yadkin Valley.
The vineyard has had a number of award
winning Pinot Grigio and Dolcetto wines. Raffaldini Vineyard Vice President
and General Manager Stephan Lyons will lead the discussion of their unique
history and a tasting of a few of their wines. This will be a set-price
(TBD) five course wine dinner prepared by the culinary staff at Bistro 420.
